Party on the Titanic (FP6301)
|
Party on the Titanic - The debut CD from the original time-traveling
slamswing band. Here is a high voltage rock tribute to the Jazz Age, a
feverish melodic joyride through the Harlem Renaissance and the birth of
swing. This party has the raw passion that marks the arrival of a new sound.
It also makes a good coffee substitute in the morning.

Live and Uncut (FP03)
|
Live & Uncut - Oregon State Fair. Labor day weekend. 110 degrees in the
shade. The band is delirious and has sweated out all the starch. You'll get
no stiff sounds around the collar here - just zany antics and musical
refreshment, including the local color of a festive fiddle on a few tunes.

All songs written by Comfy Chair except:
Caledonia - Adapted by Comfy Chair from the Louis Jordan standard.
The Wabbit - Adapted by Comfy Chair from the the Carl Stalling adaptation of Rossini's The Barber of Seville.

Public Tranceportation (FP02)
|
Public Tranceportation - Witness a sign of the times: the Virtual Band.
Song designer Josh Garey listens to how some of the best musicians in the Bay
Area are playing, steals as many of their chops as he can, writes a bunch of
songs, and then practically at gunpoint forces these same musicians to record
with him. The result is melodic hard rock, but only the kind found in
Berkeley; a natural blend of funk, folk, reggae and jazz influences are the
supporting cast.

The Password is... Grape Juice (FP04)
|
In addition to being a great band, Private Culture is a way of life. Born and bred in Berkeley's notorious intellectual and cultural melting pot, this is barrier-free and timeless music that effortlessly combines reggae, pop, funk, ska and good old-fahioned rock. Influencing many bands, members of Private Culture have had the opportunity to play and record with such international groups as Green Day, No Doubt, Lauren Hill, Sugar Ray, Letters to Cleo, and the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir.
